Our Limited Warranties

We stand behind the work we do. Here is exactly what we cover, for how long, and what we don't.

1-Year Labor Warranty

New system installs · 1 year
  • If a part covered by the manufacturer fails within 1 year, we do the labor to replace it. No labor charge.
  • If our installation work fails within 1 year, we correct it. No labor charge.
  • Starts on the completion date shown on your invoice or warranty certificate.

System Workmanship Warranty

New system installs · as long as you own your home
  • Covers the installation work our crew did: brazed joints, line set, ductwork and duct connections we installed, the drain line we installed, electrical connections we made, and the pad or stand.
  • If our workmanship fails, we fix it. No charge for labor or materials.

90-Day Repair Warranty

Repairs · 90 days
  • If the specific repair we performed fails within 90 days, we correct it. No labor charge.
  • Covers only the part we replaced or the work we did, not other problems.

All three are limited warranties. The details below are part of them. Please read them.

1. Who gives these warranties

Cool Now South Florida LLC, doing business as Sunny Coast AC (“we,” “us”). Florida License CAC1825130. They are given to the customer named on the invoice (“you”) for the home where we did the work.

4. System Workmanship Warranty: details (new systems)

5. 90-Day Repair Warranty: details (repairs)

6. What is covered, and what is not

What we cover

  • New systems, first year: our labor when any part the manufacturer covers breaks, like the compressor, fan motors, capacitors, control boards, valves, or coils.
  • New systems, as long as you own the home: our own installation work, like a leak at a joint we brazed, a drain line we ran coming loose, a duct connection we made separating, or a wire we connected burning.
  • Repairs, 90 days: our labor if the specific repair we performed fails.

Weather, nature and accidents

  • Hurricanes, tropical storms, tornadoes and high wind
  • Floods, storm surge, standing water and rising water
  • Lightning, power surges, brownouts and power company problems
  • Fire, falling trees or branches, and other falling objects
  • Rust or corrosion from salt air, pool chemicals, or the environment
  • Ants, rodents, lizards, and other pests or animals
  • Theft, vandalism, accidents, and damage caused by others

Care, changes and other work

  • Routine maintenance: clearing drain lines, replacing filters, and cleaning coils. These services are billed at our standard rates.
  • After a repair: separate or newly found problems, including problems that could not be diagnosed until the first repair was made. These are new service calls.
  • Work by anyone else on the system, including changes, add-ons, or moving the equipment
  • Parts or equipment we did not supply or install
  • Problems with the home itself: roof leaks, attic heat, structure, or the electrical service
  • Upgrades required later by new codes or rules
  • Using the system for something it was not designed for, or in a business or rental with no one living there
  • Cosmetic damage, such as scratches, dents, or fading, that does not affect operation

Yearly maintenance is not required to keep your warranty. Routine cleaning (clearing a clogged drain, changing filters, cleaning coils) is maintenance, not a breakdown, so it is billed at our normal service price. If a covered part breaks, we still cover our labor. The manufacturer decides on its own parts. We recommend a maintenance visit once a year.

7. Damage the failure causes

These warranties cover fixing the failed work. They do not cover other losses that come from a failure, such as water damage to ceilings, floors or belongings, mold, spoiled food, lodging costs, lost income, or other costs. Some states do not allow limits on these kinds of damages, so this limit may not apply to you.

8. Warranty visits and fees

9. How to submit a warranty claim

  1. Contact us first. Call or text (786) 822-6861, or email admin@sunnycoastac.com, with your name, address, and a description of the problem.
  2. Allow Sunny Coast AC to inspect the system first. Coverage for a component ends if another contractor repairs or alters it before our inspection. We do not reimburse other contractors unless we approve the work in writing beforehand.
  3. Inspection and correction. We will determine whether to repair or replace the affected component, and we may use parts of equal or better quality. Warranty work is covered for the remainder of the original warranty period.

10. Your other rights

These warranties give you specific legal rights. You may also have other rights under Florida law. Nothing on this page takes away rights the law gives you. The equipment manufacturer's warranty is separate from ours and has its own terms.

11. Changes to this page

We may update this page for future jobs. Your job is covered by the terms in place on the date your job was finished. Ask us anytime for a copy.
